An early Sonia Rykiel that really sums up her chic French girl style that screams, throw on and go, with a touch of whimsy and charm! This is a very light weight, very fine wool jersey that is amazingly soft. The bodice is tightly fitted but has that wonderful attached caped collar that drapes over it at both the front and back. This really gives it a nice romantic feel. The skirt is attached at the waist with exposed, almost raw seam work - another fabulous, but subtle detail. Lots of fabric was used in the skirt so you get a lot of movement. It is a real stunner and one that is endlessly interesting to style. Rare too as this was part of a special collection done only for Henri Bendel. Excellent condition.
